- 真的完全没有过时，依旧非常好看，是类戏曲冤家爱情大团圆喜剧的设定。这剧好看有好几处，善男信女各个成双成对，连丫头和媒婆都要双双相伴才欢喜，特别齐整的舒服。故事的起源和结束都在仙女庙娘娘像前，说的是缘分之妙和善恶之清。两个新娘出嫁时候还特意给了小和尚们争先恐后看新娘的镜头，可爱，有烟火气。人物都活泼，还有“断袖”的桥段且没有贬低的意思。各种人物感情都是自然发展，没有扭捏作态，水到渠成的大方自然。就像评论说的，多肉，但完全不奇怪。
- 非常传统的中国喜剧，无巧不成书，皆大欢喜的结局。正如所有喜剧一样，其悲剧内核在第一集就表现出来了，那就是古代女子结婚往往都没有选择的权利。剧中两个女主角一个嫁给病秧子，一个嫁给克妻的大龄鳏夫，二人都是因为家庭面临困难，或为金钱所惑或被权势压迫，总之这种身不由己真是溢于言表。而且现在的电视剧真的缺乏有趣的小旦，剧中的小喜如《西厢记》里的红娘，娇俏机敏，穿针引线，可谓是重要的线索人物。
