- 制作组也在本作中对其制作前作时存在的两难境地进行了回应：本作开播时便是“第四话”，仿佛和前作没有间隔三年，仿佛只是次周的更新，故事也完全衔接了第三话的末尾，不再过多地引出新人物、散出新支线，而是对现有的人物进行丰富、对现有的支线进行补全——铺展开故事的大幕。同时在保持了顶级的画面和动作设计的基础上，还能融汇《山海经》的精华，在妖的形象设计上令人耳目一新。只是以此速度，真不知何时能讲完整个故事。
