- 剧本改编有很大问题，可能限于审查，无法让未成年人主动犯罪，也就完全失去了原作中几个孩子早熟、冷酷、决绝又不失童真的复杂性，而原作对家庭关系的描述又被剧本添加了许多不必要的鸡汤线。两下反向用力，直至原作中令人窒息的张力、暗无天日的悲情大打折扣，演员再好也无力挽。
- 张东升最后一句台词是：“你可以相信童话”，我猜这个坏人被击毙，三个孩子都活了下来，连普普的弟弟都得救的结局，应该就是童话。然而真相永远不会像童话一般美好，普普肯定早死了，严良肯定也死了，张东升其实已经不想活了，他想跳楼最终没敢，必然会激朱朝阳杀了自己，而小朱同学长大之后，只能是又一个张东升。
