- 本劇改編於宋慈的《洗冤錄集》，從宋慈意氣風發，斷案如神的少年時代開始，一直到看盡官場腐敗，心灰意冷而辭官還鄉結束。全劇十一個案子，以單元劇的模式播放，有仇殺，有情殺，甚至有日常琐事而殺人，劇情嚴謹工整，節奏環環相扣，各種類型應有盡有，極大滿足了觀眾的獵奇心理。驗屍手法亦是原始生猛，有腐爛而狰狞的屍體，也有幽幽白骨的冷峻，這種撲面而來的粗砺感，是國產劇前所未有的尺度。當然，在一系列冤假錯案的背後，塑造最為成功莫過於宋慈這一理想主義的人物形象，他不似《神探狄仁傑》狄仁傑的世故圓滑，也沒有《少年包青天》中包拯的風趣幽默，而是近乎頑固的剛正不阿，但官場的險惡腐敗，當權者的無德無能也並非他一個清白之身能改變得了，最終以一腔熱血理想入世的宋慈，也只能獨善其身，遠走他鄉的悲涼而收場。...

- 15年前的片子，怎么能这么好看啊，宋大人聪明正直善良，如果再诚实，那一定是个难得的大好人，但是大好人破不了案呐，所以宋大人经常耍心眼说谎话忽悠各路官吏，这才正常嘛。
